So it seems like there is a different pattern for walking here. The sidewalks have rules and a culture of their own.
Or so it would seem. It’s not the straight forward stay to the right type of pattern. I’ve almost gotten run over by bikes and old ladies glare if I try that method. It seems like the old ladies and whoever thinks they’re more important or classier than you take the inside edge (the edge that is not near the road), the men or the younger/more in a hurry/on bikes people take the track closer to the road. No matter what direction they’re going.
It seems to hold mostly true from what I’ve noticed.
It took almost walking into people and almost getting run over by bikes to figure that out.
Interesting. I shall keep you posted of further sidewalk conjectures.
