Be still and know, reach and grow – January

I’m starting something new. At the end of each month I’ll share verses and quotes that were encouraging to me or made me think, things I had to write down, links I had to share, and a favorite picture or two from that month.

Psalm 17:15

“As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness;

I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.”

“You are beautiful, able, called , courageous, and victorious.”

– Lysa TerKeurst

Psalm 27:4

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.

Psalm 29:11

The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.

“When he heard these words of the counselors Gilgamesh looked at his friend and laughed, ‘How will I answer them; shall I sit at home all the rest of my days?'”

– The Epic of Gilgamesh

“God may be more than moral goodness: He is not less. The road to the promised land runs past Sinai. The moral law may exist to be transcended: but there is not transcending it for those who have not first admitted its claim upon them and then tried with all their strength to meet that claim, and fairly and squarely faced the fact of their failure.”

-C.S. Lewis
