Five Minute Friday – Wide

My little guy has been teaching me so many things. i guess it is normal to learn from your kids. It’s a whole new story and they are just learning the new in the world.

My baby boy is attacking life with eyes and arms open wide.

His learning, vocabulary, mobility and personality have all advanced in leaps and bounds this week. It is so fun to see.

He knows the way to learn is to watch, to try, to fail, to try again, and, eventually, to succeed with flying colors.

Somehow, when we’re older we forget, or we get jaded, or we fail ‘too much’.

So we decide to stop trying and instead adapt excuses:”Oh, I’m not a…” or “I can’t do …” or “I don’t like …”

We stop giving experience a chance and instead close down our lives to the new and choosing to live only in the old.

Wide.

Wide open.

  1. Wonderful. I spent the weekend with my 6 month old grandson. Your picture is exactly what he does. Watch – listen – take everything in.
Isn’t it fun to watch him experiencing life?
