28: family. Bragging rights. Etc.

Today was such a lovely joy.

We spent the afternoon and evening at my family’s house. We ate good food. Chatted. Took family pictures. Watched the two littlest people play with each other. And all sorts of good family things.

I always love the chance to see my family and chat with my mom and sister. I also really enjoy having a dozen other people to play with Ranger while I chat or play games with my littlest sisters as I did today.

Besides our visiting and family pictures not too much else was accomplished, but, all the same, it was a very refreshing and lovely Sunday.

Since I didn’t do anything of note I thought I’d brag on my sister’s doings a bit.

She’s so creative. And good with fabric. And a sewing machine. Her stuffed pumpkins are adorable. I really want to give them a try. (Maybe this year if I can find a good place in my house for seasonal decorations!) Once I get back on pinterest I will definitely be pinning her tutorial to remind myself to do it.

Her most recent project makes me want hot chocolate. With all the trappings. And cute little jars. And beautiful bright mugs! Luckily she provided us with a recipe such that I may actually attempt making hot cocoa mix instead of giving in to the stubbornly tasty Swiss Miss all the time.

So go see what she’s been doing
while I sit here and think about my lack of chocolate.

I do that.
I wouldn’t recommend it.
Now go! :)

(This is a part of 31 days to Focus and Refresh a blog series my mom, sister and I are hosting as we spend 31 minutes a day improving our hearts, homes, and habits in the month of October. We would love your company!)
