A necessary pause.

I’ve come to a place where I need a little space.

Space to breathe.

Space to think.

Space to write through things before I post them. Or don’t post them.

I need that option.

I feel like God is asking me to step down for a month. To step down and step back while I think. And He leads. And I listen. And hopefully write. And plan. And wait. And hope. And Pray. And just be.

I need time to think big thoughts and dream big dreams. And brainstorm important things. Thinks like creating real community. Real writing. Real connection.

I feel like God wants me to pause so He can teach me a few things and show me more of who He is and who He wants me to be.

So I’m taking the month of December off from blogging. Probably the rest of November too.

I might post about my babies or throw forth some pictures every now and then, but mostly I’ll be silent here. I need focus and attention.

It also happens to be almost Christmas. And it’d be easy to get all caught up in everything to do. Tis the season. My littles need me. My husband needs me. I want to read and run. My family needs me. I need my creative self to be fully available to make happy memories with them all this season and be more intentional about my time, writing, and activities in this coming year.

So blessings to you! Happy Thanksgiving! Merry Christmas! And Happy New Year!

I am hoping for good times and good things to share with you all when I get back to blogging regularly in January.

I want to base my writing on wisdom from God, not blathering from me. So having this time of rest in Him and focus on listening will be vital.

PS — I’ll probably keep posting random tidbits and links and mayhap a picture or two on facebook and I’d love to see you there!.
