Because life is random: Friends, Frozen, and Harry Potter.

The last few days I have seen a lot of my friends. My roommates from sophomore year were all in town and available so we (and my two babies!) went out to lunch. It was so fun to catch up and laugh and just hang out.

We’ll have to do that more since we’re planning on all living in the same city again sometime in the next few months (hooray!).

This was also my first time taking the munchkins to a restaurant without Israel. It was Mongolian Barbecue at lunch, so there wasn’t too much pressure for good behavior or silence. Ranger dumped his bowl halfway once, dropped his fork and few times and didn’t spill his water. And Ali watched us happily from her carseat most of the time. So we made it. :)

Last week we got Frozen on iTunes and proceeded to watch it three evenings in a row. The first night I was so tired I fell asleep in the middle of it — So so tired. It wasn’t the movie’s problem! — so we obviously had to watch it again the next night. And I laughed even more. Then we decided Ranger would like it… :) but it only got better with each viewing.

My favorite lines?

Anna: It is not nice to throw people!!
Kristoff: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Feisty-Pants.

I think I just loved how wonderfully real Anna is. Also the feisty-pants things is just hilarious. This movie was just so good. I really enjoyed this new version of the disney princess and that the solution to the problem isn’t based on finding the right man. It is nice. :)

Since the end of January or so I have been reading Harry Potter and enjoying it. :) Since it is written for kids it’s a pretty easy read. The story is interesting enough to keep me coming back and still remember what is happening even though I’ve had to put it down often because of my babes. I have enjoyed that it is easier to put down than, say, the Divergent series, because it is easier to prioritize my kiddos and other responsibilities ahead of it (though blogging has kind of gotten the short end of the stick recently!).

So that’s where I’ve been! How about you? What have you been reading, watching, or thinking lately? Or anything, you know. :)

  1. I want to see frozen! It looks so cute! I love the Harry Potter series! Matt just watched most of the movies for the first time and he likes it too, so next is to get him to read the books! He’s reading Little Britches right now and I’m into textbooks, until spring break starts! Just one more week! Would you recommend the Divergent series?

      1. I read it and I loved it!! Except the ending! Boo. Now I’m working on reading it to the hubs :) He likes it so far too! We’re waiting to finish the first book to watch the movie!

  2. I want to see that one too. And is this your first time through Harry Potter? I love those books!! I am currently reading self help books. lol

  3. Hi there, I’ve been reading your blog since the beginning, as well as your mom and sister’s blogs. I have a ritual every winter of reading the whole Little House on the Prairie series so that’s what I’m on currently right now. I am a voracious reader and enjoy Charles Martin, Dorothy Garlock, Jodi Picoult, etc. We love Frozen too. Sven reminds me of our Boxer dog, Oliver. :)
