Because it is. It’s a feeling, yes, but there is also the moment of choosing to be loving or to be love when our feelings don’t line up with our own ideals or dreams.
I think joy is the same. Sometimes we feel joy. just like we feel happy. It’s a momentary thought of thankfulness and love. JOY.
But then other times we are stressed or stuck or stumped and joy eludes us on the feelings level. It’s still there. Somewhere. It just feels lost.
This November, my friend Katie is putting together an instagram challenge to find joy in november because sometimes life is just hard and we need to focus our eyes on the things that bring us joy. Especially the little things. I know my life overflows with little markers of completely amazing that I often just miss or gloss over in the midst of my to-do list or attempts at toddler training.
So this is what I am doing this November. A picture a day. hopefully.
Just a moment – something that brings a little bit of joy if I just stop to notice it – documented.
Will you join us, too?
Make sure to check out Katie’s post for details and then check in on instagram in November with the hashtag #FindJoyinNovember !!!
I can’t wait. And I might just start in October :)
I am blogging everyday this October on the theme of Soul Calm. I want to take the dust of the day and sift it through my fingers. I want to see beauty, drink peace, and rest in calm assurance. Let the dust drift away, seen and unseen, beautiful, maybe, but not mine to keep. I hope it blesses you. You can find the collection of Soul Calm posts here:
Today, I am also linking up with the Five Minute Friday community:
