“If we’re fighting every single little battle that comes our way, we’re not going to win the war. We don’t have enough stamina. we will burn out halfway to the end. So these are the hills I’m not willing to die on. What are yours?”
– Rachel Toalson
This book had me chuckling constantly. Full of stories exhibiting the ridiculousness, but also the meaningful, of this life with kids. I loved that there were several thoughtful essays jumbled right in with wry stories about everything under the sun of parenthood.
My favorite hilarious chapter is called “A Day in the Life of a Mom.” An account of the stream of words the author is forced to say over the course of a day. We have all been there. Plain entertaining.
Rachel Toalson is a prolific author from Texas who has six boys. She knows ridiculous when she sees it and shares it with us to our delight and chagrin. Think your kids are crazy? You’ll breathe a sigh of relief because it turns out all of us live on the wild side in our own house.
Because that’s life and sometimes you just need to laugh.
Look for this book on Amazon in Kindle and Paperback!
What was the last thing that made you laugh?
