Three Things About Your Story {The Kind Side}

  1. Life is full of crazy happenings. Sometimes they redirect and repurpose your life and you can see what’s going on, but sometimes you get to sit with the weird and difficult and just wonder about the rest of the plot.
  2. The way we see what happens now may not be the way we tell the story later. Everything looks different in retrospect.
  3. The plot isn’t the story. how the character changes in the midst of the plot is the story. (Paraphrase of an idea from Wired for Story by Lisa Cron)

So.

In the midst of our crazy lives, may we be people who follow the threads of mercy and see the redemptive story. May we see hope, goodness, more than one side to every story, and the potential of God at work in every second of it. May we be able to grieve brokenness and heartache while looking always ahead to Jesus for the security of our hearts and souls.

May we always trust in God’s mercy and care for us.

Blessings on this Monday afternoon!
