It’s ok to experiment and not be sure you are meant to do this one thing over that other thing.
Do the work placed in front of you on this very day.
Choose what you already chose before.
Choose the unchangeable commitments. The people, the responsibilities, the aliveness of your life.
After that it’s an experiment in filling in the blanks with what rings true to who God made you to be. Don’t worry so much about how long or how useful how perfect this particular endeavor may be to your overall goal or purpose. Big or small, it will build your life in some way. Something will be learned or gained.
Commit to something.
Do the work, make goals, be consistent, experiment, be free.
Don’t grasp for answers about what exactly the end will look like, but don’t assume you can’t make it look like you want it to.
It’s worth figuring out the how’s and whys, but you don’t have to know all the answers before you start.
This is how it is done.
Start.
Continue.
A little over a long time.
See what happens.
